Jim Burneka

Jim Burneka is a Dayton, Ohio Firefighter/Paramedic.  Jim has been involved with the fight against occupational firefighter cancer for over a decade.

Jim is past President of the Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN). Jim was heavily involved with the development of the “Taking Action Against Cancer in the Fire Service” White paper, and the IAFF cancer awareness/prevention online program.

Jim has also:

  • Written several cancer prevention articles for Fire Engineering.
  • Presented at Firehouse World San Diego.
  • Studied Firefighter Cancer Preventive techniques in Europe.
  • Testified on behalf of Firefighter Cancer Presumption in Ohio.

 

Chris Wilson

Chris Wilson has been with the Bloomingdale Fire District in Illinois since 1998.  Chris currently serves as a Battalion Chief.

Chris was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2010.  Chris is the former Director of the Illinois Chapter of The Firefighter Cancer Support Network (FCSN).

Chris has a B.A. in Management from Benedictine University.

 

Brad Davidson

Bradley R  Davidson CFI, CFI-II is a leading Authority and Fire Service Professional.  He started as a Volunteer Firefighter in 1981 and continues to serve in many local, National and International capacities.  His passion is to help firefighters prevent cancer and injury.

He was enrolled in the Fire Service Management track from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia and graduated with a Certificate in Fire Service Leadership.

NFPA 1720 – Principal Technical Committee Member.

Provincial Director of the of the Canadian Volunteer Fire Services Association.

In 2017 he was appointed Manitoba Regional Director on the Canadian Association of Fire Investigators Board.

Also in 2017 he was a Scholarship award Recipient for the FDIC Honeywell DuPont Kevlar and Fire Rescue International – IAFC / FDSOA HSO Training.

He has been selected to return to FDIC as an International Instructor in 2018.
