I can recall being in the only firefighter cancer booth at FDIC nearly ten years ago. We were hidden upstairs, out of sight and out of mind with some other small non-profit groups. The fact that Firefighter Cancer is the major topic for FDIC shows how full circle the fire service has come regarding cancer. It truly is a great feeling to see the progression throughout the years!
I will not have a booth at this year’s event. Instead, I will be mobile and looking for firefighter cancer preventative innovations from the various vendors at FDIC. I’ll be posting my findings here in the near future.
